We went in April before the summer crowds and it was cold in the mornings but the light was superb. Chele to Syangboche is a big day with a lot of up and down. The teahouses in Upper Mustang have improved a lot and were more comfortable than I expected. Lo Manthang deserves two nights, not one, so ask for the longer itinerary if you can.

Nepal is like a second home to me. I keep visiting Nepal once in a while and every time, it is different (in a good way). This time me and my family planned to visit Upper Mustang through jeep. The journey from Kathmandu to Lo Manthang felt like we were stepping in a different world. The roads were long and sometimes rough, but every turn brought something beautiful. Once we started climbing higher, the views got bigger and quieter. It was wild to witness such transition! Lo Manthang was full of stories. The old buildings, kind locals and the simple way of life made me and my family feel like the time had slowed down. My kids were very happy experiencing that. We explored the area and even visited caves carved into cliffs. It was something we had never seen before. We took so many beautiful memories with us when we left. Thanks to the Himalayan 360 team!

One of my favorite moments was soaking in the hot spring at Tatopani after a long ride. The water was so warm and I couldn't believe it was all from the mother nature itself! It was so relaxing and surrounded by beautiful hills. The next day, we drove to Kagbeni and then up to Muktinath, the views just kept getting better. I loved how spiritual the places felt. The ancient monasteries to the eternal flame at Muktinath, it gave me peace. As a religious person myself, it felt so good just be able to experience things that I once wished for. It was more than just a sightseeing for me. It was something much deeper.
