Sound Healing Therapy session, also known as a sound bath or vibrational meditation session, is a relaxation practice where you lie down or sit comfortably while a practitioner plays calming instruments. Calming instruments may include Tibetan singing bowls, gongs, chimes, tuning forks, or even gentle chanting. During the session, you hear sound waves and feel the vibration in your body. The sounds you heard and vibrations you felt then work together to relax your body, calm your mind, and slowly take your brain into alpha and theta waves state (waves associated with a meditative state).
Sound healing session blends ancient traditions with modern wellness practices. It is easy to try, non-invasive, and gentle. Many people find the session calming, emotionally healing, and helpful for better sleep. However, note that you may not get the same result and experience from every session. The results vary depending on the instruments used, the sound healing therapy session style, and the practitioner you are working with.
