Reviews from our Guests
From travellers who walked this exact itinerary.
Everyone talks about Kala Patthar but standing on Renjo La looking back across Gokyo lake with Everest lined up behind it is the better photograph and there is nobody there. The climb from Gokyo is steep and the top was windy enough that we did not linger long. Ramkrishna got us up early to beat the cloud. The descent to Lungden is long and rough underfoot.
The best part of this trek was how peaceful it felt. Sitting by Gokyo Lake and seeing the mountains reflected in the water was breathtaking. The trek was hard at times, but not too much, and our guides helped a lot. I really enjoyed the small villages, the fresh mountain air, and just being away from everything.

Gokyo Lake Trek was challenging, but the scenery kept me going. From Machhermo to Gokyo, I couldn’t stop staring at the lakes and mountains. The locals were very kind and helpful, and the teahouses gave us a cozy place to rest. I felt so small in front of the mountains, but so happy to be there.

Gokyo Lake Trek was honestly one of the most beautiful experiences of my life. The lakes were so blue and peaceful, and walking alongside the glacier felt like being on another planet. The villages were small but full of warmth, and the locals always had a smile. Every morning waking up to mountain views felt like a gift.
