I did the Annapurna Base Camp yoga trek and it felt different from any other trek I’ve done. The mix of hiking and yoga was refreshing. Mornings started with stretches and meditation while looking at snow peaks, and evenings ended with breathing exercises to relax sore legs. The trek itself had changing landscapes, from villages to bamboo forests and finally to the mountains. Reaching base camp felt like a big achievement, surrounded by Annapurna range all around me. The sunrise yoga session at the base camp was something I’ll always remember.

I had done normal trekking before, but yoga added a new layer to this journey. The mornings felt peaceful, starting with sun facing the mountains. Evenings were a time to relax and talk with the group while doing light stretching. I loved the hot spring at Jhinu Danda after many days of walking. The highlight was practicing yoga at Annapurna Base Camp while watching the sunrise. It was tough, but it gave me both strength and calmness.

The best part of this trek was how yoga slowed everything down. Trekking can sometimes feel like a rush, but here we had time to pause and connect with the surroundings. Practicing yoga at different spots along the way made me notice things I would have missed, like the sound of rivers or the smell of pine forests. Annapurna Base Camp itself was extra ordinary, and the silence there during meditation is something I’ll never forget. Grateful for being in Nepal as always!

Evenings in the tea houses were some of my favorite memories. We ended up playing Nepali card games with locals, and even though I didn’t know the rules, we laughed nonstop. The yoga was calming, but the laughter was healing too. I never thought a trek would include sitting on the floor of a tea house, losing badly at cards, but that’s what made it so real.

One morning, I woke up to thick mist and thought the day was ruined. But during our yoga session, the mist slowly cleared, and suddenly the peaks of Annapurna South appeared. Everyone gasped, including me. It was like the mountains were revealing themselves just for us. That moment felt almost spiritual. I didn’t expect yoga to make me notice things so deeply.

The trek to Landruk had some slippery paths, and I almost slipped a few times. I didn’t expect to feel so alert and alive walking in the forests. Passing waterfalls and small villages kept me entertained. Even small things like sharing tea with other trekkers made the day memorable.

I never thought yoga and trekking could go together, but somehow they did. Every morning started with stretches, and every evening ended with dal bhat at the tea house. I swear dal bhat gave me more energy than any protein bar. One day while trying yoga outside, a curious dog just sat next to us the whole session—it was hilarious. Reaching Annapurna Base Camp after days of walking and ending with a meditation session was something I’ll never forget.
