Overview

Everest view Trek is a short and easy trekking package on Everest. This easy trekking trip offers you an opportunity to explore the panorama view of Mt. Everest and have a close look at the diverse Sherpa culture. Mount Everest is the highest mountain in the world (8,848m) and lies on the border of Nepal and China, with about half of the mountain lying on each side of the border. It is known by many alternate names like Qomolangma, Sagarmatha, and Chomolungma.

Sir, Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa first summited this Glorious peak of the world in 1953 Ad. This is an ideal trekking expedition for those who are willing to experience the beauty of the region and the typical culture and lifestyle of its delightful people in a short period of time without going very high up Everest.

Everest View Trek starts with a mountain flight to Lukla of 45 minutes, Nepal’s busiest mountain airstrip at (2,800m). which serves as the gateway for the Everest region. From Lukla, our Everest view trek continues into the lush vegetation of Sagarmatha National Park, which contains a wide range of flora and fauna. As we move forward the trekking trail passes through pine forests, rhododendron flowers and some dense forests with an abundance of wildlife on our way up to Namche Bazaar (3440m). After taking a day’s rest in Namche bazaar our trail heads towards Tengboche monastery at (3,860m). which is one of the highlights of the Everest view trek. Tengboche is considered home to the highest Buddhist Monastery in the world and also the best spot in Nepal to take a look at and photograph Mt. Everest (8,848 m) and its neighbouring peaks. This monastery in Everest region commands an incredible view of Everest and other mountains of the region hence the trek to Tengboche monastery is termed as Everest View Trek. From there we head to Khumjung- one of the biggest Sherpa villages in the Khumbu region, here you will get an opportunity to see the aesthetic Sherpa culture and their astonishing traditional lifestyle, Buddhist monasteries, Hillary school and the famous Yaks. You will also be familiar with the famous myth of Yeti and who knows, you might see one too. Here we end our trekking adventure and now head back towards Lukla. On the way back you can be enjoying the last views of the awe-inspiring Himalayan range and its people.

Everest view trek can be organised during the year around, however, the best season is autumn (September to December) and spring (March to May). This panorama view trekking gives you an insight into the Everest trekking region.

Best Season
The prime trekking seasons in Nepal are fall and spring. The best times to visit are from the Mid February to May & October to mid-December. April and early May is a good time to see the hedgerows and trees bursting into bloom, with Rhododendrons, in particular, adding a spectacular splash of colour to the landscape which also happens to be the national flower of our country. It is also a good time of the year to see the Koshi river flow down the mountain ridges formed from the melted glaciers of the high mountains.

Itinerary

Day 1:
Flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (2827m) and then trek to Phakding (2610m).

First of all, you will go to Tribhuvan International Airport to fly to Lukla which lasts for 30 minutes. Then, you will reach the hotel in Lukla and have some breakfast there. From Lukla, you will head to the Thadokoshi River(2550). Far away from the Thadokoshi River, the trail goes upwards to Ghat (2580m). During this trek, you will come across the stones that are carved with Tibetan Buddhism six words which are known as Mani stones. You will continue the climb to reach Pakhding village which is attractive.

Day 2:
Phakding(2620m) to Namche Bazaar(3460m)

Today morning you will have some breakfast and then start your trekking. Through the way of Dudh Koshi river along with pine forests, you will start the second day of your trek. You will come across the 5 suspension bridges on your way to Namche. You can also see Buddhist monasteries and Gumbas. You can see the fascinating village Banker Manjo(5364m), which is the headquarter of Sagarmatha National Park. After passing through the last bridge you will continue 2 hours climb. On the trail, you will relish a fascinating view of Mt Everest. At the entrance, you need to authenticate your permit checkpoint. After climbing 15-20 minutes you will reach Jorsalle which is the last place before Namche. Here you will have your lunch. Then continuing the ascend you can see the influencing impression of Everest and Nuptse. A climb through pine forests for 2 to 3 hours depending on your speed leads to the auspicious trading and managerial town of the Namche Bazaar.

Day 3:
Acclimatization and exploration in Namche Bazaar(3460m), Everest View Hotel(8848m), Ama Dablam(6856m), Thamserku(6608m)

Today you will go on a hike around Namche Bazaar. Firstly you will visit the Hillary museum. On the way, you will see a panorama view of the Everest range which is considered one of the most fascinating viewpoints in the world. After half an hour, you will be continuing your trek to Syangboche Everest(3780m) view hotel where you will enjoy the fabulous mountain views. You will be fascinated by broad views of Everest, Lhotse and other mountains on a day. You will enjoy visiting the Syangboche landing strip(3780m) from where you will climb towards Khunde(3840m) passing stone Buddhist Monuments. Additionally, you can also visit the Hillary school and hospital which was built by Newzealand Edmund Hillary. Then you can enjoy it there and descend to Namche.

Day 4:
Namche Bazaar(3460m) to Phakding(2620m)

This morning you will have some savoury breakfast, and then you will come back to Phakding. You can see fascinating mountains like Everest View Hotel(8848m), Thamserku(6608m), Lhotse(8516m) and many more. You can capture some of the memories of the scenery. Then you will walk slowly towards Phakding.

Day 5:
Phakding(2620m) to Lukla(2850m)

Today, you will ascend to Lukla through the Sherpa village of Phakding. You can also enjoy the beautiful view of Everest. You will cover a total distance of 9km for almost 4 hours on a rocky path in Everest Region.It takes almost 8.30 kilometres from Phakding to reach Lukla.

Day 6:
Flight from Lukla(2850m) to Kathmandu(1400m)

Next morning you will book a return flight from Lukla to Kathmandu. During the flight, you will enjoy beautiful scenery until you reach Kathmandu from where you will be heading to your hotel.
