As we move forward the trekking trail passes through pine forests, rhododendron flowers and some dense forests with abundance of wildlife in our way up to Namche Bazaar (3440m). After taking a day rest in Namche bazaar our trail heads towards Tengboche monastery at (3,860m). which is one of the highlights of Everest view trek. Tengboche is considered home to the highest Buddhist Monastery in the world and also the best spot in Nepal to take a look at and photograph Mt. Everest (8,848 m) and its neighboring peaks. This monastery in Everest region commands an incredible view of Everest and other mountains of the region hence the trek to Tengboche monastery is termed as Everest View Trek. From there we head to  Khumjung- one of the biggest Sherpa villages in Khumbu region, here  you will get an opportunity to see the aesthetic Sherpa culture and their astonishing traditional life style, Buddhist monasteries, Hillary school and the famous Yaks. You will also be familiar with the famous myth of Yeti and who knows, you might see one too. Here we end our trekking adventure and now head back towards Lukla. Day 01:Flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (2827m) and then trek to Phakding (2610m).

Duration of time: 8 hours

First of all, you will go to Tribhuvan International Airport to fly to Lukla which lasts for 30 minutes. Then, you will reach the hotel in Lukla and have some breakfast there. From Lukla you will head to the Thadokoshi River(2550). Far away from the Thadokoshi River, the trail goes upwards to Ghat (2580m). During this trek you will come across the stones that are carved with Tibetan Buddhism six words which are known as Mani stones. You will continue the climb to reach Pakhding village which is attractive.

Day 02:Phakding(2620m) to  Namche Bazaar(3460m)

Duration of time: 5 hours

Today morning you will have some breakfast and then start your trekking. Through the way of Dudh Koshi river along with pine forests, you will start second day of your trek. You will come across the 5 suspension bridges on your way to Namche. You can also see Buddhists monasteries and Gumbas. You can see the  fascinating village Banker Manjo(5364m),which is the headquarter of Sagarmatha National Park. After passing through the last bridge you will continue 2 hours climb.On the trail you will relish a fascinating view of Mt Everest. At the entrance, you need to authenticate your permit checkpoint. After climbing 15-20 minutes you will reach to Jorsalle which is the last place before Namche.Here you will have your lunch. Then continuing the ascend you can see influencing impression of Everest and Nuptse.A climb through pine forests for 2 to 3 hours depending your speed  leads to the auspicious trading and managerial town of the Namche Bazaar.

Day 03:Acclimatization and exploration in Namche Bazaar(3460m), Everest View Hotel(8848m), Ama Dablam(6856m), Thamserku(6608m)

Duration of time: 2-3 hours 

Today you will go on a hike around Namche Bazaar. Firstly you will visit  the Hillary museum.On the way you will see panorama view of the Everest range which is considered as one of the fascinating viewpoints of the world.After half an hour, you will be continuing your trek to Syangboche Everest(3780m) view hotel where you will enjoy the fabulous mountain views.You will be fascinated by broad views of Everest, Lhotse and other mountains on a day. You will enjoy visiting Syangboche landing strip(3780m) from where you will climb towards Khunde(3840m) passing stone Buddhist Monuments. Additionally you can also visit the Hillary school and hospital which was built by Newzealand Edmund Hillary.Then you can enjoy there and descend to Namche.

Day 04:Namche Bazaar(3460m) to Phakding(2620m)

Duration of time: 5 hours

This morning you will have some savory breakfast,then you  will come back to Phakding. You  can see fascinating mountains like Everest View Hotel(8848m), Thamserku(6608m), Lhotse(8516m) and many more. You can capture some of the memories of the sceneries.Then you will walk slowly towards Phakding.

Day 05:Phakding(2620m) to Lukla(2850m)

Duration of time: 5 hours

Today, you will ascend to Lukla through Sherpa village of Phakding. You can also enjoy the beautiful view of Everest. You will cover a total distance of 9km for almost 4 hours on a rocky path of Everest Region.It takes almost 8.30 kilometre from Phakding to reach Lukla.

Day 06:Flight from Lukla(2850m) to Kathmandu(1400m)

Duration of time:30-45 minutes

Next morning you will book a return flight from Lukla to Kathmandu. During the flight, you will enjoy beautiful scenery until you reach Kathmandu from where you will be heading  to your hotel.

We will be accommodated in star hotel or similar in Kathmandu and teahouse during the trek. All the accommodation are offered on twin-shared basis. Single accommodation can be provided on request but will cost an additional charge. The charge depends on the hotel you are staying.

Private rooms are readily available in Kathmandu, and the trekking region, except in high altitudes where there will be just dormitories. Usually there are no heaters in teahouse; they provide warm blanket. You can bring sleeping bag with extra liner for more comfort and warm. There is normally on electricity connection in the rooms unless the village has hydroelectric powers. The rooms and dining halls are connected with solar lighting. Most teahouses now have source of power to charge small appliances – mobile phones and cameras.


During Everest View Trekking, we get to taste authentic Nepalese cuisine and as well as the more common international cuisine (Tibetan, Continental, Italian, Indian, etc.) but the choice of foods are limited. We provide the “Breakfast & Dinner” from the teahouse or lodge where we will be spending overnight and lunch will be served on the way to next destination.

We also offer welcome and farewell dinner in Kathmandu. All the meals (B, L, D) will be provided during the trek but only the breakfast will be served in Kathmandu (except for welcome and farewell dinner).

Drinking Water

Crown Himalaya Trek offers Chlorine/Iodine treated water during the trek. All the teahouses provide mineral water and boiled water for trekkers on additional charge. We suggest you not to buy mineral water or bottled water while on the trek as plastic bottles are difficult to dispose- off.

What to bring

Firstly, you need to carry some documents to purchase Sagarmatha National Park Permit and TIMS. Passport size phots and valid passport are required for the Permits. For Everest View Trek, you have to bring hiking boots, trousers, wind and water proof jacket and trousers, down jacket, sun glasses, hat, flash light, water bottle, refillable water and positive attitude. As it is difficult to find the charging port in high mountains, you need to bring back-up for your camera and mobile phones. This is very physical trip, meaning you will be walking on rough terrain, so pack as lightly as possible. Crown Himalaya Trek provide an experienced porter on (2 trekkers: 1 porter) basis. Your trekking gear will be carried by the porter in a duffel bag; the maximum of 15 kgs are carried by porters – 30 kgs by 2 porters. Altitude Sickness

Altitude sickness is the unusual physical condition that occurs at higher elevation (more than 2,000m) due to change in air pressures. Physical Condition & Experience Requirements

Everest View Trek is a moderate trek perfect for passionate hikers with the ability to walk at least 5 – 7 hours on mountain terrain with a light rucksack. With excellent physical condition, positive attitude, self-confidence and strong determination, anyone regardless of size and age can accomplish the trek successfully.
We suggest you to engage on physical training for few weeks prior the trip to boost your strength, stamina and confidence. Cardio, swimming, running and leg exercise are few recommended physical training to prepare yourself for the trek. Previous trekking experience is always an asset but not mandatory. And no technical skills are required as well.
Trekkers with pre-existing medical conditions like heart, lung and blood diseases are suggested to consult their doctor prior the trip.

Best Time to Trek

Everest View Trekking is possible to conduct throughout the year but autumn (Sept to Nov) and spring (March – May) are considered as the best time of the year for the trek. If you want to avoid the traffic, you can enjoy the trek during winter (Dec, Jan and Feb). However, the extremely cold temperature and frequent snow-fall might distract the trek. Trekking in summer or Monsoon seasons (June – August) are full of rain; which might invite the risk of landslide and flood. But the rainy season could be paradise for keen botanist.
