Arun Valley Trek starts from humid and comparatively lowland Tumlingtar up to the snowy highland of Makalu Base Camp at 4,800 meter. To reach Tumlingtar we take a direct flight from kathmandu to Tumlingtar. From here our trekking trail heads up to the north of Arun River to Sedua and Num.Then. On the way trekking trail offers you pristine forest of rhododendron and oak displaying the immense beauty of the nature, beautiful local villages inhibited with mostly Sherpa and Rai people. These Delightful people are very rich in culture and tradition and rely on agriculture and animal husbandry and cottage trade for their lively hood. From there crossing Barun La (4110m) trail enter into the upper Barun Khola valley offering a close up look of Makalu (8463m). In Makalu Base Camp we explore some awesome and huge glacier of the region. Salpa Bhanjyang is the highest access point that Arun Valley trek takes you. We also visit Hindu holy Lake Salpa holy Lake (3414 m.) which is not just valuable by the natural point of view but also has its own religious value in Hinduism. On our way back trekking trail enters the awe inspiring Khumbu region where we spend some of our days exploring the region. From here we trek back to Lukla via Phakding. Then we catch back a flight to Kathmandu and enjoy the scenic mountain flight from Lukla to Kathmandu.
